Founded in 1975 by a generational family of the area, Jackson Surveying, Inc., has deep roots in South County giving our firm a competitive edge. Having experienced changes to land planning over several decades and taking pride in the importance of history our firm certainly knows the lay of the land in all areas of Land Surveying and Engineering.

Surveying

Our firm utilizes modern surveying equipment with colonial surveying techniques unique to New England. We provide a field to finish method of surveying so that your project personnel oversee all aspects of the project from land record research, to fieldwork, drafting and final preparation. Our licensed surveyor provides final review, quality control and certification.

Engineering

Our licensed engineer will assist from concept to completion with the project team. Our attention to detail, organization, and mitigation tactics over the years has allowed us to think outside the box to give your project the best potential for success.

Permitting

Our staff prides itself on professionalism that has given our firm long-standing relationships with regulators at the town and state level. Our experience allows us to move projects smoothly through the regulatory process.

Engineering & Design

Site Plans, by your surveyors of choice

Our firm will perform required title research, field investigation and/or occupation of physical monuments (i.e. pipes, bounds, rebars, etc.), location survey of physical features, plotting of field data, boundary line computations, and CAD drafting in the process of generating a site plan.

When a site plan is needed for the planning of future renovations or projects on a parcel of land, our firm will provide consulting services to assist you through various town and state ordinances that may apply to the project.

We’ll use our tried and true method and perform required title research, field investigation, occupy physical evidence, plot field data, analyze the data, and stakeout the boundaries. Depending on the scope of the survey and the research findings, we may recommend the creation of a formal survey plan to record the findings.

We’re so glad to have found Charee and her team at Jackson Surveying to survey and provide an updated plot plan for our property in Charlestown. We were required by the Zoning Board to submit documentation as we sought a permit to move ahead with a minor addition to our home.
